Nigel Farage MEP, UK Independence Party (UKIP), President of the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group (EFDD) in the European Parliament - @Nigel_Farage

• Order of Business: Motion on behalf of the EFDD group for a debate (Tuesday morning, 14.02.2017) on the 'common application of European Parliament rules to all political groups'

I mean under normal circumstances this debate shouldn’t be needed at all. My goodness me, you are scared aren’t you?

Under normal circumstances we should not need to discuss the common application of rules to all Members and Groups in this House but, ever since the Brexit vote there has been the persistent victimisation of every Eurosceptic group in this parliament, whilst at the same time we see the accusations in Der Spiegel of your predecessor, Mr Schulz, playing very fast and loose with the rules.

And the reason I want this debate President, is under your new chairmanship, can we please establish whether it is the intention of this place, and of you indeed, to treat all members equally and fairly, regardless of their political opinions?
