• Responding to notification of being fined by the President of the European Parliament seven days' worth of subsistence allowance for calling German socialist MEP "an undemocratic fascist" (24.11.2010), UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom said tonight in Strasbourg:
"You notice immediately that they do not mention the issue of German Socialist MEP Martin Schulz calling other MEPs 'Nazis'.

"I shall be appealing against this decision immediately.
"If they think docking my lunch-money will stop me speaking out on behalf of my constituents' welfare, they have another thing coming."
