• David Cameron has discussed applying an "emergency brake" to EU immigration in a meeting with his Czech counterpart, as he seeks a deal on his EU reforms.
Responding, UKIP Migration spokesman Steven Woolfe MEP said:
“David Cameron says in one sentence that he believes in EU doctrine of open borders and then pleads in the next for a temporary stay and its permission to be decided by EU leaders.
“This charade shows he is either deluding others or he is just deluded himself.
“However, people who are having their wages depressed by mass migration, their school place lost for their children, and their hospital bed taken by an EU national will only accept regaining full control of British borders. Sad thing is, Cameron isn’t even asking for this.”
