There are calls for the coalition government to cut the UK's financial contribution to the European Union.

It comes as the European Parliament last week voted for a 5.9 per cent increase in the EU's annual budget to around £115bn. That'll cost an extra £884m next year.

BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast's Nicky Campbell asked Mark Reckless, a eurosceptic Conservative MP and Wayne David, the Shadow Europe Minister if now is the right time to be sending money to Europe when we're talking about the pain cuts will cause here.
