Janusz Lewandowski provoked fury last night by condemning Britain’s £2.5billion-a-year European Union budget rebate as “no longer justified”.
In a clear signal of a fresh cash-grabbing onslaught on UK taxpayers, EU Budget Commissioner Janusz Lewandowski demanded the scrapping of the refund famously won by Margaret Thatcher.
The move would add an average £100 to the annual tax bill of every household in the UK.
